 I took Matt Francis’s WSOP training course back in 2014. After 90+ hours of training, I gained so much knowledge and felt more than ready to go deal for the WSOP! Matt was able to obtain many gigs for my classmates and I to work before going to the WSOP, including an opportunity to work inside a local card room, Casino Royale, to deal a short tournament series for 2Pair Magazine; afterwards I was ALL-IN and couldn’t wait to head to Vegas to start working for the WSOP. I arrived in Vegas with my brother who took the class with me, ready to go, man, we were excited! Working at the WSOP my first time was an amazing experience, and I couldn't wait to return the next summer. I continued dealing the WSOP every summer through 2023. It was a passion of mine to leave no fellow dealer behind and I was determined to help any dealer that needed it; through this dedication, in 2022 I was asked if I wanted to learn to become a Dealer Coordinator and offered a Dual-Rate position; of course, I said yes! In 2023 I Dual-Rated the entire summer and was promoted to a full time Dealer Coordinator the following summer. I’ve also been able to deal poker across the county in different casinos and card rooms. None of this would've been possible without this class and I’m forever grateful to Matt. My experience in this class was awesome, I’d recommend it to anyone, in fact, I’ve convinced a few friends over the years to do it, and all work in the industry with me now. Matt has even had me sit in as a guest instructor many times over the years and I’d do it again.  

It's been about 10 years since I trained under Mr. Francis. The WSOP hires 500 new dealers every year, many within a small group of the 

new hires who don't look lost, completed Sir Francis Elite's course. This is a direct 

result of Matthew Francis properly preparing you for a full summer of work at the WSOP. When you complete the series, you're able to take jobs throughout this industry with great confidence. Today, my wife and I are both Floor Supervisors at multiple properties around the nation. Without the training we received through this course, we wouldn't be where we are today. Many new hires are under prepared, it breaks my heart, and I wish they could've received solid foundational training that this course offers.

I can't express enough how 9 years ago; Matt Francis has truly changed my life in ways he may not even realize. Before this class, I never played poker, had little to zero knowledge, and no idea what I was in for. Matt told us that we'd work through the toughest scenarios, he'd be hard on us, and he may seem abrasive. That he will challenge us any way possible, in order to fully prepare us. "Oh boy, did he", and it worked!  I remember getting in the box the first time, in front of people I didn't know, trying to understand foreign concepts, add in math, not my strength, was very uncomfortable. Did I at one point, have a moment, where I fled to the bathroom to cry in front of the mirror? Yes, judge me if you’d like, but thanks to this industry, it won't bother me. Matt helped me deal with my embarrassment, emotions, patience, focus, and math skills. He curated mental math homework that tailored to me, to improve my skills. We went through all the techniques at my pace and Matt would spend extra time with me when needed. He'd purposely distract me in class to enhance my focus. When I came back from my little bathroom moment and sat right back in the box, Matt told me “The fact that you came back, jumped right back in, proves that you will make it." At my surprise, somehow, I got through Matt’s rigorous audition that he always warned us about and passed. Next, I got through the audition at the WSOP and was hired on. Fast forward 9 years, I've worked all over the country, alongside the best in the industry, made friends everywhere, and wouldn't trade it for the world. Took me years to realize why Matt used all the different strategies in his class, and I wouldn't be the elite dealer I am today without him. The poker industry has strengthened me in many ways, mentally, emotionally, and physically. I'm so glad I didn't give up, and that Matt never gave up on me. I can take this skill anywhere, and when you take this class, you can too.

Back in 2019 was when I was introduced to this class and decided to go for it. Matt taught me everything I needed to know for my audition for the World Series of Poker. I felt confident going into the audition and passed with flying colors. After dealing the WSOP just one summer of 2019, I applied at my local casino, got hired on as a temp employee with no problems! Within a year I was part time, and shortly thereafter I became full time and have been there for a little over 5 years now. Trust me when I tell you, this was the best decision I’ve ever made! I came out of a management position working 45+ hours a week with tons of stress and doubled my income, working less hours, not stressing, and brought back happiness into my life.
